[et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”]On a warm Sunday afternoon, families throughout the United States celebrated and honored their fathers on Father’s Day. Hence, the World Mission Society Church of God in Ridgewood hosted a BBQ to honor all fathers on this day. Families enjoyed musical performances, games, and delicious home-style cooked food and desserts.

As guests enjoyed their meals, they gazed as members put on a diverse collection of exciting performances. Firstly, the the step dance crew entertained the audience with their thunderous stomps. Next, a vocal quintet sang a few touching pieces, capturing the hidden love and sacrifices of fathers. Finally, a soloist sang traditional Korean songs that resounded beautifully to the diverse audience.

After the live performances, guests were reminded of the love and sacrifices of their own fathers through moving videos and stories. Many of the attendees shed tears as they reflected on the times they shared with their fathers. Guests were also reminded of our Heavenly Father’s devotional love, remembering that He does all things for the benefit of His beloved children.

Throughout the rest of the evening, everybody enjoyed playing games together like one big family. Everyone shared laughs and smiles over competitive games like ping-pong, bean bag toss, Jenga and even chess!

Fathers were also surprised to receive a personalized card with an instant photo of their family from that same day. Sons and daughters took the opportunity to write heartfelt letters to their fathers inside of the cards. This made for an unforgettable gift.

The evening ended seamlessly with everybody leaving the Church in high spirits. The Church of God in Ridgewood was happy to host a memorable event for fathers to enjoy with their children. Moreover, the Church hopes that fathers may be cherished in the hearts of children, not only on Father’s Day, but every day.
