Q: Who is the Founder of the World Mission Society Church of God?
A: The Church of God was founded by Ahnsahnghong in 1964. He was born on January 13, 1918, in South Korea according to Old Testament prophecies about King David and God coming from the East (Isa 9:6–7; Isa 46:10–13).
In 1947 Ahnsahnghong entered the Seventh Day Adventist church fulfilling the prophecy of the Church in Laodicea (Rev 3:14–20). He was baptized there in 1948 at the age of 30, coinciding with the prophecy of King David (2Sa 3:5) and the Fig Tree Lesson during Israel’s Independence (Mt 24:32–33).
On April 15, 1984, Ahnsahnghong held his last Passover ceremony in a wedding hall with a red and blue candle lit symbolizing the bride and bridegroom. At this time, he revealed the existence of the Spirit and the Bride who promise eternal life (Rev 22:17). On May 18, 1984, he testified to the spiritual Mother, leaving a picture of the Spirit and the Bride holding a bouquet of carnations symbolizing the grace of parents.
To conclude the 37-year reign of David’s Throne, Ahnsahnghong ascended to Heaven in 1985, appointing Jerusalem Mother and General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol to lead the Church of God.
