On Wednesday, April 22, 15 volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God came together for a special visit to the Ridgewood Fire Department during Public Safety Appreciation Month. Through the visit, volunteers hoped to express gratitude to the firefighters. They dedicate themselves to protecting and serving the local community with courage and dedication.
Sharing Gratitude with Ridgewood Fire Department Firefighters
To encourage the firefighters at the Ridgewood Fire Department, volunteers prepared and delivered a homemade lunch filled with comforting foods and desserts. As part of the visit, the “Snacks of Hope” included buffalo wings, homemade sides, and fresh chocolate chip cookies prepared by the volunteers.
In addition to the lunch, volunteers shared handwritten cards with uplifting and heartfelt messages. The cards thanked firefighters for their daily sacrifices. Through these messages, volunteers offered encouragement for their continued service to the community.
The visit gave volunteers an opportunity to personally thank members of the Ridgewood Fire Department. It also recognized the important role firefighters play in protecting families and neighborhoods throughout the community.
Serving Local Firefighters Through Acts of Kindness
The World Mission Society Church of God continues to carry out volunteer activities that bring hope and encouragement to local communities. Through small acts of kindness, volunteers share warmth and appreciation with those who dedicate themselves to helping others.
The visit to the Ridgewood Fire Department supported local public safety officials during Public Safety Appreciation Month. In turn, volunteers hoped the meal and handwritten messages brought comfort during their busy shifts.
Church of God volunteers plan to continue carrying out similar service activities in the future. Through these efforts, they hope to share appreciation, hope, and encouragement with first responders and community members across New Jersey.
