ASEZ WAO volunteers were recognized by the Elmwood Park Borough Council for their dedication to environmental protection and community service. The recognition took place during a Borough Council meeting at Elmwood Park Borough Hall on Thursday, July 16.
During the meeting, Elmwood Park Mayor Robert Colletti and Council President Lorraine Pellegrine presented ASEZ WAO with an award. The award recognized the organization’s volunteer efforts and commitment to creating a cleaner and healthier community.
Elmwood Park Recognizes ASEZ WAO’s Environmental Efforts
Following ASEZ WAO’s recent environmental cleanup activities in partnership with the Borough of Elmwood Park, the organization received recognition from local leaders.

A New Chapter of Community Partnership in Elmwood Park
The Borough Council meeting also marked an important milestone with the announcement of the upcoming opening of the World Mission Society Church of God in Elmwood Park.
At the meeting, Mayor Robert Colletti and council members welcomed the church’s presence in the community. They also expressed appreciation for the volunteer spirit and community involvement its members hope to share with local residents.
Furthermore, members of the Elmwood Park Council shared their gratitude for ASEZ WAO’s efforts. They expressed excitement about the Church of God becoming part of the neighborhood.
Continuing to Serve and Build Connections
“ASEZ WAO is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the leaders and residents of Elmwood Park,” said Alex Post, a representative of ASEZ WAO and Church overseer. “This recognition reflects the strong partnership that can be built when volunteers, community leaders, and residents come together to care for the environment and serve the community.”
Isaac Ko, a representative of ASEZ WAO and Church overseer, added, “We look forward to continuing to build meaningful relationships with the Elmwood Park community and sharing love through volunteer service. As the World Mission Society Church of God becomes part of this neighborhood, we hope to contribute positively and work together with our neighbors for the benefit of the community.”
