The Bible Teaches Us About Our Savior
A telescope lets us explore the universe, a microscope reveals the microscopic world, and the Bible functions as a magnifying glass for recognizing the Savior in the invisible spiritual realm. Similar to college students learning from expert-written textbooks, those seeking to understand God’s existence at His first and second coming should thoroughly understand the Bible and trust its divine origin.
“We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it … you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation … but prophets, though human, spoke from God”
2 Peter 1:19–21
Even when Christ’s disciples lost faith after His crucifixion, Jesus, to restore their faith, exclusively used the Scriptures.
“He said to them, ‘How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken… and beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.’”
Luke 24:25–27
Failure to believe in Jesus as the Savior stemmed from a lack of belief in the Bible (Jn 5:45) and a lack of knowledge of God (Jn 15:20–21). The path to salvation and entry into Heaven demands following the words of the Bible and carefully examining the scriptures so we can recognize and come to God correctly.
